Federico Patellani
Turandot is an opera in three acts by Giacomo Puccini, set to a libretto in Italian by Giuseppe Adami and Renato Simoni.
The first performance was held at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan on 25 April 1926 and conducted by Arturo Toscanini. Puccini’s Turandot, performed 1950 by Maria Callas, is a perfect vehicle for a dramatic soprano with a steady, steely and brilliant voice capable of rising to top C.
